This is an 84-page guide that discusses the political and economic views and opinions across the globe for the coming financial year. The team approached us again towards the end of last year to design their 2020 publication. By ensuring the design was consistent with the brand’s guidelines — including the colours and typography — while also having the opportunity to incorporate some additional assets in the form of timelines, illustrations and infographics, the team were very happy with the final result. The logomark of the original brand was made up of circles so this was maintained in the new design. The initials 'H' & 'M' were incorporated to strongly connect the logomark with the company name. The client requested gunmetal grey as their primary brand colour which worked well to achieve a striking and confident final design. Shaparency approached us wanting an Information Memorandum to send out to potential investors with the intention of raising capital ahead of launching their new platform. We absolutely love working on such projects that enable us to transform a standard Word document into a professional and impressive fully functional PDF that achieves the perfect first impression. Shaparency already had their logo, one primary font, and an initial colour palette in place. With this in mind, subtle tweaks and new additions were made to these during the design process. Their primary font Gilroy used for all heading styles was accompanied by Proxima Nova for all body copy and some beautiful contemporary secondary colours were introduced that perfectly compliment the primary brand purple. Shaparency’s mission is to transform the way companies manage governance and the entire shareholder experience. When considering the complexity of the platform, it was important to design every page in such a way that information wasn’t too overwhelming and could be appreciated in a concise and interesting way. This was achieved by breaking up the written content through the use of high-quality photographs, pull-out statistics, icons, infographics, tables, and charts. At the same time, each page was kept clean and contemporary by predominantly keeping a white backdrop throughout and carefully using each of the colours to highlight the most prominent written and visual information. When sending a proposal for a potential new role or contract, it’s more important than ever to really stand out from your competition. Our client got in touch wanting a sleek, contemporary, and impressive proposal document that they could send to a potential new client for the opportunity to take on a big design and marketing contract. With just the Word document to work with, we put together a professional colour palette and selected two clean and modern sans serif fonts that perfectly complemented one another. There was a lot of information to be included throughout the document and with this in mind, we broke up the written content with high-quality photographs, icons, infographics, pull-out quotes, and statistics and box-outs to achieve an engaging and striking final PDF. The team already had a couple of versions of their company mascot ‘WHABBY Cat’ and approached us wanting some new variations of the Cat playing a range of musical instruments. The mascots are intended to be used for both print and digital purposes, and also will be used across their merchandise. They had a good foundation upon which to develop their brand further, and wanted to keep an emphasis on the O/block by differentiating this to the other letters. We started the design process by exploring different typography and alternative ways to enhance the ‘O’ while also looking to visually represent what the company provides. The final design explores the focus on ‘Connecting the Blokx’, whereby the cube/’O’ connects directly to the ‘O’ in ‘Technologies’. This connection is enhanced further by using the teal only for both of these elements. The company’s mission is to nurture and support a community of conscious buyers and sellers. With a focus on sincerity, positivity and community, they wanted a natural, wholesome design that visually encompassed the family environment they promote. With this in mind, the circle of leaves encompasses the brand name, therefore depicting the sense of community, wholesomeness and community. They wanted the website to be redesigned in Squarespace — a platform that offers intuitive and professional websites for businesses of all sizes. The design was largely kept the same as the existing website, however, with some new additional creative elements created, plus enhanced functionality to ensure the website worked seamlessly on both desktop and mobile devices. We made sure the design was kept minimal and sleek, taking advantage of the high-resolution imagery we were provided which has been used frequently across the website. The end result? Ranging from 15–20 pages each, the ebooks were created in Adobe InDesign, and we liaised closely with the team to ensure the design and layout of the ebooks were perfectly consistent with the look and feel of the Rounded website, and their brand as a whole.
